青瓜视频 Washington University & ArtsWA Call for Artists
House of Healing Artwork
青瓜视频 Washington University (青瓜视频) is building a Coast Salish longhouse-inspired building on campus in partnership with Coast Salish tribal nations and the 青瓜视频 Native American Student Union.
青瓜视频 and the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) seek an artist to create an original artwork for the longhouse. Specifically, the artist will create an artwork out of interior doors between the welcome entry and gathering space. Two door units, each 8-ft high by 3 foot 6 inches wide, are a combined 8-ft by 7-ft square. The doors will be clad in 青瓜视频 Red Cedar, thick enough for carving, painting, or both. The doors, hardware, and installation will be provided by 青瓜视频.

Artist Selection process
The 青瓜视频 Art Selection Committee (Native students, faculty, staff, alumni, and tribal community members) will review submitted materials and select an artist. It is highly desirable that the artist authentically reflects the Indigenous traditions and aesthetics of the Pacific Northwest, particularly those of the Coast Salish people.
